Join us at Boxing Base for a quick glance over this weekend’s boxing TV schedule. It’s not the biggest weekend of boxing thus far in 2015, but could potentially feature some of the fight game’s most promising future stars. For that reason, it’s worth a look in.
August 6th Boxing TV Schedule
Lopez vs Diaz
Fox Deportes
Abraham Lopez (18-0-1, 13 KO) and Jorge Diaz (18-3-1, 10 KO) will be trading punches in Los Angeles, California, in what looks to be a fairly competitive match-up. Lopez is an unbeaten Featherweight prospect who will be looking to shine in this Golden Boy Promotions 10-rounder. Unbeaten Roy Tapia (10-0-2, 5 KO) will also be aiming to put on a good show against Juan Hernandez (18-5-1, 9 KO) in his 8 round Junior Featherweight support act.
August 7th Boxing TV Schedule
Derevyanchenko vs Ayala
Showtime, Boxnation
The Atlantic City card will feature some very bright unbeaten prospects in the form of Middleweights Derevyanchenko and Khytrov, plus Junior Welterweights Prograis and Cowart. Sergiy Derevyanchenko (5-0, 4 KO) will be taking on Elvin Ayala (28-6-1, 12 KO) in the 10 round main event, with Ievgen Khytrov (10-0, 9 KO) facing Nick Brinson (17-3-2, 7 KO) in the co-feature. Regis Prograis (14-0, 12 KO) and Amos Cowart (11-0-1, 9 KO) will battling to also remain undefeated. This looks to be the perfect kind of card for ShoBox which generally features up-and-coming talent.

August 8th Boxing TV Schedule
Salinas vs Avila
HBO Latino
If any of this Golden Boy card is worth your attention, it’s likely Salinas vs Avila, the event’s 10 round Junior Featherweight headliner. Manuel Avila (17-0, 7 KO) will be putting his unbeaten record on the line against Yoandris Salinas (21-1-2, 14 KO), a man who gave Scott Quigg fits in 2013. Salinas fought to a Draw in that bout, and really pushed Britain’s Junior Featherweight titlist.
Also featuring on the Indio, California card are Johan Perez (20-2-1, 13 KO) and Dmitry Mikhaylenko (19-0, 8 KO) in a 12 round Junior Middleweight clash, plus Tevin Farmer (19-4-1, 4 KO) and Juan Antonio Rodriguez (27-5, 24 KO) in a 10 round Junior Lightweight encounter.
