Our Mayweather vs Berto poll is now closed and the results ready for reader digestion. We won’t beat around the bush too much here; BoxingBase.com visitors did respond rather predictably to the question ‘Who Wins Mayweather vs Berto?’. And yeah, we were expecting it.
(You could call this a sentimental poll of sorts – you know, since Mayweather is about to leave the sport for good an’ all.)
Anyway, according to the poll results, nobody’s giving Mr Berto a shot in hell. But it’s a shoddy match-up, and a greedy one at that considering the Showtime price tag, so let’s just get on with it. Boxing, you’re an ugly beast at times. All right, the undercard is actually pretty solid – just not pay-per-view worthy.
The results are as follows:
Mayweather to win via Points: 69%
Mayweather to win via KO/TKO: 21%
Berto to win via Points: 1%
Berto to win via KO/TKO: 9%
So Mayweather looks like the favorite here. Like, a lot. The P4P King, who will be defending his WBC, WBA and RING Welterweight titles later tonight, received 90% of the votes, being touted to win via Points. As for Berto, he’s…ah, you get the picture.
