Klitschko-Fury could be rescheduled to November 28th, according to Klitschko's managerWith Klitschko-Fury being postponed following an injury to Wladimir Klitschko’s calf, diehard and casual boxing fans alike didn’t have the best of Fridays when the news hit. But here’s a bit of consolation: according to Klitschko’s manager, the injury is minor, and the bout should be rescheduled for November 28th.

The Espirit Arena, Dusseldorf, will still host the event, which see Klitschko’s WBA, WBO, IBF titles on the line. All tickets will still be valid, no matter the bout’s eventual date.

“It was a tendon tear on his left calf,” Bernd Boente, Klitschko’s manager, told Boxing News. “It happened during training the day after the press conference [September 24]. We will definitely reschedule, and it will stay in the stadium [Espirit Arena in Dusseldorf] – it is almost sold out – so all the fans will be able to transfer their tickets.

“At this moment we’re aiming for November 28 but it could be later depending on what the doctor says. We are scheduled to see Dr [Hans-Wilhelm Muller-]Wohlfahrt on Thursday [October 1], who has worked with the German soccer team, and until last season, Bayern Munich. We will then take it from there.”

Still feeling a bit bummed about the whole rescheduling business of Klitschko-Fury? We feel you. Our advice is to just sit tight and enjoy the upcoming Golovkin-Lemieux in the meantime. And Brook-Chaves, which is, well, kind of dividing opinion. If you need to vent your frustration, please do so responsibly in the comments…
