At the Manchester Arena, UK, Junior Featherweight titlists Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg successfully made weight for their highly-anticipated clash tomorrow night. The Frampton vs Quigg Weigh-In was packed with incredible support for both fighters, with Mancunian and travelling Irish fight fans producing a fantastic atmosphere. IBF champ Frampton came in at 121 lbs, and WBA champ Quigg also at 121. Both men looked to be in phenomenal shape, with Quigg’s more slender frame perhaps looking a little drained.
iFL TV cameras caught all the weigh-in action:
Short of a Draw, someone’s ‘0’ has got to go here. This encounter will finally settle a four-years-in-the-making rivalry and light up the 122 pound division with plenty of extra interest. If this unification bout lives up to expectations, we could be about to see the winner taking on the masterful Guillermo Rigondeaux later this year, or possibly even a rematch. Frampton will pass through the ropes with a perfect 21 wins and 14 knockouts, and Quigg with 31 wins, 23 knockouts and 2 draws.
