Theatrics and boxing have always gone hand in hand throughout the history of modern era boxing, and Tyson Fury is a man who graduated with Honors in Fight Hyping. Whether you’re a fan or not, there’s no denying that Fury, who currently holds the WBA and WBO titles after beating Wladimir Klitschko last November, is an absolute marketing machine. Seriously, Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy must love this guy.
Showtime camera’s captured Fury entering the ring at the weekend where he squared up to Deontay Wilder, who had just severed Artur Szpilka’s senses in front of a packed Barclays Center in Boston. Wilder held back at first, but soon eyeballed his rival, assuring Fury he’d be more than willing to trade blows in the near future, even if that means on away turf in the UK.
Mmm…could 2016 be the year we get to finally see Wilder vs Fury? And assuming we might – possibly at the tail-end – who would win a huge battle of skyscraping titans such as this?
