With Amir Khan’s sand timer about to run out, the British Welterweight star is understandably starting to become anxious. Khan has been crowing about being Mayweather’s final dance partner on September 12th, but his prayers have not yet been answered.
No call. No multi-million dollar offer. Nothing. Nada.
Mayweather vs Khan is not a done deal by any stretch, and the Bolton star recently said he’s less than impressed with the way boxing’s shrewdest businessman conducts himself.
Khan recently told Boxing News Online camera’s that Mayweather’s actions – or lack of – are extremely unprofessional. Khan believes Mayweather’s strategy could be to call at the last minute, hoping to catch the Brit off guard and out of shape.
But it won’t be an issue Khan assured, as he is always in the gym and ready to fight. Khan also debunked an unfortunate recent ‘sparring rumor’ and shared his thoughts on Mayweather’s potential options such as Keith Thurman. Spoiler alert: they’re not as worthy.
Hear what Khan had to say below:
Khan’s last fight was against Chris Algieri in May, a New Yorker who, despite losing a Unanimous Decision, asked a fair few questions of the Brit. Will Amir Khan hit the jackpot? Will we be seeing Mayweather vs Khan in September?
